OLIve-UP will run an 8 month program in the academic year 2021/22 from January to August 2022.
OLIve-UP offers courses that raise students' Academic English skills and disciplanary knowledge of a specific subject to a level appropriate for studying, and succeeding, in an English-language Master's program. The goals of the program are 1) to prepare students to make competative applications to graduate programs at CEU, and 2) to prepare students for study in Master's programs.
In academic year 2021/22, the program will be split into three modules: Module 1 (Winter Term) January - April 2022; Module 2 (Spring Term) April - June 2022; Module 3 (Summer Term) July - August 2022.
Module 1 serves as a foundational period where students are introduced to key concepts, ideas, and theories in their subject of interest. Module 2 expounds on key learnings in subject areas and by the end students are expected to demonstrate Academic English skills equivalent to that of a pre-Master's level student. Module 3 will be catered towards individual opportunities for academic growth for each participant.
